About Us
Our friendly volunteers and staff are keen to help anyone wanting to become a volunteer or who needs a volunteer.
Our Mission: To provide support and inspiration for volunteers, organisations and groups to develop volunteering in the community.
We have 100's of vacancies for volunteers across Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde. We maintain a database of volunteer requirements and volunteers and match them where-ever possible.
Free services at the Volunteering Centre
We provide guidance for anyone looking for voluntary work and give publicity support and training to organisations which involve volunteers.
Volunteers are offered an individual and personal discussion to find the most suitable opportunities for them. Discussions are usually held at our Volunteering Centre in Blackpool. We actively encourage everyone to volunteer. We do not discriminate and will try to find opportunities for anyone regardless of gender, age, ethnic origin, religious persuasion, sexual orientation or disability.
We hold drop-in discussions daily from 10am to 1pm if you want to pop in and talk to us in a relaxed style.
The Volunteer Centre now provides Free Training and Accreditation for anyone living in the Blackpool area. Click here to find out more.

Background
Our previous office in Cookson Street was officially opened on Friday, 4th June 2004. Before then we had been located at the Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre Council for Voluntary Services office in Abingdon Street. We have recently moved again and we are now located at North Lodge, West Park Drive, Blackpool.
The Volunteering Centre was a project of the CVS until 1st April 2006 and has
now become an independent body, registered as a limited company and in the
process of becoming a registered charity.
